- Education & Languages
ClassDojo is a piece of software that helps connect students, teachers, and parents through a single mobile interface. This helps bridge any communication gaps, and it gives teachers a way to monitor and even regulate student behavior.
When you first use the app, you'll have to create a profile for yourself. In the profile, you'll identify yourself as a student, teacher, or parent. Parents and students will need to enter ID codes so they can be sorted into chat groups by related classes or groupings.
If you are a teacher, your profile will have a few more features than any other. It doesn't matter if you teach at a private or public school, you can still create a profile and provide as much detail as you would like. Once you've created a profile, you can build groups around your classes and populate them with parents and students.
The software can also be used to discipline students who have misbehaved in some way. The system can be used to distribute negative points, and teachers can provide specific explanations for each negative point. This will help parents see the issues in real time, which often leads to faster correction and less trouble.
