Simple Spreadsheet is a free application that is supported by ads and offers the most basic spreadsheet functionality like what you might find in Microsoft Excel. You can use the software to insert complicated formulas with unlimited brackets, and you can alter the background color of the cells, the borders at almost any level, and even the size, color, and style of the text.

With this software, you can add rows and columns and remove them at your will. The width of the columns is adjustable, and you can set the standard width of each column to fit whatever data it holds.

When you're editing a formula, highlighting will help keep track of what cells are being referenced and through what range. You can import, open, and export files in the CSV format, but the software is not compatible directly with Excel formats. However, if Excel exports a file in the CSV format, this app can read it. You can copy and paste entire ranges or individual cells, and you can freeze either the first row or column, or both can be frozen if necessary.
