The NOAA Weather Radar app provides weather in real time. This weather forecasting tool for Android devices shows almost instant updates from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and National Weather Service about current weather conditions in a wide range of locations, including several countries outside of the United States and many popular travel destinations.

Users can customize the app with saved locations and set it with location tracking. Utilizing a bookmarks option, users can also compare weather in various locations at the same time. The app displays weather as a radar map of current conditions and also offers satellite and rain views. Each map is in vibrant color and includes geographic labels and animation.

The app displays current temperature, pressure, humidity, wind speeds, visibility and forecasted conditions. Users can also choose different units of measurement based on their preferences or country location. For example, a user can display temperature as a Fahrenheit or Celsius unit and wind speed in mph, m/s, km/h and knots. Lastly, the app allows users to set up emergency warnings so that a notification pops up on the screen about emerging severe weather, such as snow storms, hurricanes and tornadoes, even when the app isn't in direct use.
